Description
For this assignment, you will write a story and create a book about credit. In addition to the content we have covered in class, you will need to conduct research to locate additional facts for this project. You may create a digital story book using Storybird or you may create a hard copy (paper and colored pencils, markers and/or paints). Note: Your goal is to show your knowledge by using at least 20 of the credit vocabulary terms you defined in class. You must also include five or more facts that we did not learn in class. You may use http://whatsmyscore.org or another reputable website of your choice. You must cite all websites that you use for information or pictures. All citations should be in MLA format.

First, you will choose your audience. You may write your story for middle school students, high school seniors, or adults that are having financial difficulties. Please identify your chosen audience and include your choice on the front cover of the book (in parentheses) after your name.
Second, you will conduct research. You may use the Big6 Research Model. If you choose to do so, click the previous link or find it under the Additional Information link at the top of this page. To get you started, answer questions such as::
Third, you will choose your method of presentation and create a presentation. Would you like to:
Fourth, you will cite all sources of information, including images (Google Images is a search engine not a source of information), in MLA format using Son of Citation Machine.
Fifth, use the attached rubric to guide your work.
Remember, ask your teacher or media specialist for help whenever you need it.

- Is an individual entitled to a free copy of their credit report? If so, is it obtained? How often may it be obtained?
- Who uses credit reports? Why are they used?
- What does a person do if he/she finds an error on their report?
- What is a credit score? Who uses it?
- What factors are considered in calculating a credit score?
- What is the range for scores and what to the ranges mean for obtaining a loan or credit card?
- What steps could a person take to improve their credit score?
- Where would a person find additional information?
